It is our great privilege and pleasure to announce that this year we are celebrating 100 years of Polish Orthopedics which is held in Poznań, Poland from 20th to 22nd June 2013.
According to Professor Wierzejewski the history of Polish orthopedics „the youngest sister of surgery” started i 1913 in Poznań. Since then many distinct names have made into the history of orthopedics in Poland and worldwide. Those were Wiktor Dega, Adam Gruca, Franciszek Raszeja and many others who contributed to Polish orthopedics that has become dynamically developing field in both research and medicine.
Poznan is a city with a history that goes back more than a thousand years. Modern Poznan is a perfect place for business, culture and entertainment. Splendid monuments of art and architecture, representing a wide variety of styles – from the Roman style to Secession illustrate rich history of the city.
The conference can hardly be called successful without offering its participants an opportunity to relax after a busy day. The wide range of Poznań restaurants will cater for even the most demanding tastes. We do recommend both the specialties of local cuisines and delicious dishes of Greek, Italian, Chinese and Japanese cuisines. Numerous pubs and cafes located around the Old Market Square will guarantee unforgettable atmosphere.
We look forward to welcoming you and celebrating 100 years of Polish Orthopedics. We will appreciate the opportunity of welcoming you to Poznań in 2013.
Yours faithfully,
Leszek Romanowski Paweł Małdyk Marek Jóźwiak
